Bridges Employability Tutor Salary: £28,166 Walsall, West Midlands Fixed Term Contract until September 2019 37 Hours per week Our client is a great place to work, offering opportunities for people who enjoy being stretched and challenged. Building Better Opportunities is a multi-million pound programme tackling poverty and social exclusion faced by the most disadvantaged people in England. The Bridges project will support participants aged 25+ who have complex or multiple barriers to employment in order to promote independence, improve health, build confidence, enhance capability and gain the skills to improve employability. You will be part of their Employment and Training team who are responsible for employer engagement, business enterprise development and supporting educational attainment within their communities and neighbourhoods.. To be successful in this role, you’ll need experience of planning, coordinating and delivering a range of employability learning in community settings and of designing programmes to overcome the barriers to learning often experienced by vulnerable communities. You’ll also need to have previous experience of delivering employment related training to adult learners. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish rapport with learners, and build positive relationships with partners. The role will involve occasional work outside standard office hours and local travel across the Borough.
