SEN Teaching Assistant vacancy in Walthamstow

The students that you will be working with have complex learning needs. Teaching Assistants looking to be considered for this role will need to have flexible availability and take initiative.

Working as a Teaching Assistant, you will need to be able to provide 1:1 support for pupils when needed and also work closely with both pupils and staff to help pupils excel in their learning.

Job attributes:

* Candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of using non-verbal and verbal communication
* Team Teach would be beneficial to have
* Degree in a relevant subject
* Youth experience
* Experience in working with pupils in an SEN setting, primary or secondary
* Working with pupils on a 1:1 basis
* Comfortable with personal care
* Support teaching in classrooms

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
