General Manager required for the Old Halfway House in Wakefield.

£25k - £32k depending on experience

Due to an internal move we now have an opening at the Old Halfway House in Wakefield.

The Old Halfway House is situated in the large village of Horbury which is approximately 4.5 mile from Wakefield City Centre. The pub was refurbished in May last year and is in excellent condition throughout.

A lovely one bar operation with zoned areas ideal for drinking, dining and watching sport. The site combines a fantastic mix of great food and large selection of draught products and spirits. It has by far the best beer garden in the area boasting a large external drinking area which benefits from outdoor purpose built smoking shelters, large car park and central fire pit. The site appeals to locals and visitors of all ages including children and families. This is a great food house and local’s pub with plenty of opportunity to grow the drink and food trade.

We are looking for someone that has a competitive edge and a real can do attitude that is willing to come into the Old Halfway House and drive it to the next level in terms of performance, if you are already an established general manager or if you are an internal deputy manager that is ready to take the plunge then this may be the perfect opportunity for you… playing the role of Mein Host and spending time building relationships with the local community in order to attract new and keep our existing customers happy.
