Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with an Academy Trust who are always looking to recruit highly motivated Cover Supervisors to work across the secondary provision within the MAT. The MAT is made up from 4 schools, 2 of which are Secondary schools and the others a Primary and Special Educational Needs School.

You should be able to take classes for absent teachers, ensuring pupils complete work set by the teacher and practical classroom and administrative support when cover supervision is not required. Experience of classroom and behaviour management would be desirable, however training will be given. Applicants will need to have grade C GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics.

Duties include:

* Supervising students in lessons between the ages of 11 and 16
* Issuing work set by the absent teacher
* Managing the class to ensure all students continue to learn effectively
* Desirable knowledge, skills and experience

* A commitment to the education and well-being of pupils
* Empathy with pupils and sympathetic to their needs
* Proficiency in literacy, numeracy and ICT
* Experience of working in a school environment or other environment with young people
* Good communication skills and able to clarify and explain instructions clearly
* Professionally discrete and able to respect confidentiality on particular issues
* Well developed interpersonal skills and sense of humour, enabling effective relationships with a variety of different people
* Team worker
* Capable of working on own initiative
* Working time: 33 hours per week/39 weeks per year 8.00am – 15.15pm

Salary: �16,781 - �17772 FTE

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
