Boxtree recruitment are currently recruiting for an Automotive Parts Manager to work on a national account to improve car parts profitability and customer experience to the automotive dealership network and independent repairers

The Car Parts Manager will deliver automotive branded assessment, business analysis, action plan and coaching to each branch across the UK. The role will work closely with parts teams whilst offering coaching and training in a consultative manner to ultimately increase car part sales
The role requires someone with a parts background (Parts Manager, Parts Development Consultant, Group Parts Manager) with the ability to ensure best practice implementation and work towards tight deadlines.

Please note that this role is a fixed term contract for six months. The role will cover the whole of the UK; therefore, you must be willing to travel up to 90% of the working week. and work away from home if required

Candidate Responsibilities
• Drawing upon previous experience and understanding of the strategic objectives of this automotive brand and Parts network across the UK
• Undertake thorough business reviews of each branch to identify potential areas for performance improvement
• Define the opportunities and propose a set of action points to drive performance
• Lead and take the Parts department through the process of ‘managing change’
• Provide regular progress reviews and ‘hands-on’ support
• Provide new ideas and initiatives
• Develop a strong operational relationship with clients/ senior management
• Maintain communication with the Parts teams between visits to offer guidance/support and to ensure that agreed actions are implemented
• Take responsibility for own diary management

Candidate Specifications
• Excellent commercial awareness including working knowledge of budgets, KPIs, return on investment, marketing principles, training, coaching and strategic planning principles
• Strong influencing and negotiating skills and the ability to work within tight and demanding deadlines
• Have a minimum of three years’ experience and an in-depth knowledge of the industry
• Good knowledge of business data and the ability to analyse and identify issues
• Experience of Parts and aftersales department process best practice implementation is a pre-requisite
• Experience and demonstrable expertise of OEM Parts franchising objectives and key deliverables
• Ability to prioritise workload, develop implementation schedules and work to timing plans, with demonstrable process improvement skills, and with clear desire to achieve results both individually and within a team environment
• Have a flexible approach to job roles and responsibilities and be prepared to assist in other areas as required
• Computer literate, with experience of Excel, Word, Microsoft Outlook and PowerPoint.

Working hours
• Full time and prepared to travel up to 90% of time
