Commitment: Approx 25 days commitment per annum, part time, permanent

MSV is a highly respected organisation recently created from two long standing organisations with amazing legacies. MSV is a not-for-profit social housing business in the North West who own and manage over 8,200 homes and support supported housing places across 17 Local Authorities in the North West, with a turnover of £50 million per year.

We are looking to appoint a new Chair for our Board.

The Chairs role is to ensure that MSV fulfills the 'MSV way' creating an environment to flourish, with our strongly held belief that everyone should have access to a decent home and life opportunities. The Chair should ensure that MSV meets its responsibilities to key stakeholders; particularly residents, staff and funders. The Chair will have strong interpersonal skills and provide strategic leadership in conjunction with the Board Directors and the Chief Executive to ensure that the organisation has a high value added governance framework and clear strategic direction.

Candidate key competencies:

Customer focus, strategic leadership, finance, commercial acumen, social care, social housing, understanding of risk and knowledge of customer and community needs, customer experience, development, ICT, digital, health, audit.
