Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a ‘GOOD’ Roman Catholic primary school in the Rusholme area of Manchester (M14). The school are looking for a teaching assistant who is Level 3 qualified to join their KS1 team on a full time basis starting in September. The role is to work in one of the schools Year 2 classes so a sound knowledge of the KS1 curriculum would be beneficial. The school has high levels of EAL and SEN and would benefit from a flexible candidate who can adapt their learning support styles to suit the needs of each individual child. Prior experience supporting in year 2 and an understanding of the ‘Letters & Sounds’ phonics framework would be beneficial but isn’t essential.

This is a two form entry primary schools which ‘has the children at the heart of everything it does’. The head teacher and governors of the school are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic teaching assistant who will build strong working relationships with the staff and children whilst promoting a ‘warm and friendly learning’ environment at all times. This ‘GOOD’ Roman Catholic primary school prides itself on ‘Ensuring all children attains the highest academic achievement of which they are capable’ and are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is able to work as a positive role model to encourage academic achievements for all children!

To be considered for this Teaching Assistant role, you will:

* Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or equivalent
* Have recent and relevant experience supporting learning across KS1
* Be looking to develop your career in education in your next full time support role

The school are looking to short list for this position ASAP with a view to the successful candidate starting in September. If you have recent and relevant experience working with children in KS1 and hold a level 3 qualification then please get in touch for immediate consideration.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
