I am currently working exclusively with one of the UKs top Manufacturers of Heavy Commercial Vehicles who are now looking to recruit a Technical Warranty Claims Analyst.

This role is considered a Senior role within the Warranty Department and comes with certain responsibilities.

You will assess Warranty and Contract claims whilst also analysing key trends for the in order to identify and control unnecessary costs whilst supporting the constant improvement of service to dealers and our audit function. You will act as escalation and authority on claims outside of normal warranty period and liaise with Technical Product Support.

Role description:

* To assess and pass claims for payment in a timely and cost-effective manner
* To analyse claims data to identify “bad costs” and to devise methods for controlling or eliminating them.
* To assess and pre-authorise high cost repairs
* To provide a professional service with regards to all aspects of the warranty & contract claim handling process.
* In assessing claims, check for legitimate parts and labour and, where necessary, take up any anomalies with the depot staff, involving more senior people where necessary.
* Ensure that any rejected or adjusted claims are followed up & agree settlements with the respective parties; ensure that the Warranty & Contracts Claims Manager is advised of all such cases.
* Processing of all invoices related to software costs & ensuring that these costs are recovered on respective jobs.
* Processing of any Customer Parts warranty claims received at Depot level.
* Input of delivery & invoice dates as received from the Sales Department, also ensuring that machines are reported as delivered in the system.
* Liaise with the Technical Support Teams to ensure that any supporting documentation requested by Product Support can be supplied to support the claim.
* Assess all claims received outside of the normal warranty period with Technical
* Support to ascertain if a valid “Technical Goodwill” claim can be made

Requirements:

* Experience of Warranty, contract claims or similar.
* Preference for an engineering background
* Ability to work effectively and systematically to meet tight deadlines.
* Fully proficient in Microsoft office applications
* Good knowledge of aftersales administration systems
* Experience in warranty & contracts handling within the motor industry, in a multi-national company
* Educated to HND level or equivalent in heavy vehicle engineering
* Engineering back ground, preferably with workshop environment.

Working days & hours:

* Monday – Friday
* 37.5 hours per week (flexible start and finish time)
