CK Group are recruiting for a Laboratory Analyst to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Speke, Liverpool on a contract basis for 12 months.

Job purpose:
To provide analytical testing support for the development of new biotech pipeline products. The work will be predominantly laboratory based, with some office-based work required to maintain results databases and communicate results to the customer teams.

Key Responsibilities will be:
- Stability and release testing of animal health products in compliance with cGMP
- HPLC testing
- Analysis to support key site validation activities in compliance with cGMP
- Maintenance of analytical equipment
- Maintaining laboratory records to current cGMP requirements
- Operating to current Environmental Health & Safety standards

As a Laboratory Analyst, you will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

A degree qualification (or equivalent) in analytical chemistry (or related discipline) is preferable.
- Able to work alone with minimal supervision
- Able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication
- Able to make most efficient uses of resources and ensure deadlines are met
- Able to systematically troubleshoot problems and make appropriate decisions
- Recent experience in GC
- Experience of 'wet' chemistry techniques for raw mats testing
- Demonstrated initiative, working towards continuous improvement activities
