Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a National Autistic Society accredited Special Needs school in Kingsbury, North West London who are looking to appoint psychology graduates experience or proven interest in supporting autism.

These psychology graduate roles are for a fixed academic year to give you the opportunity to be trained, familiarised with the pupils, education framework and understand the school ethos/ policy. After the successful completion of the academic year you will then be given opportunities to go on permanent contract.

The role is for a primary class supporting pupils with autism one-to-one, in small groups and generally. Successful graduates will be resilient, hard working and creative. With a range of sought after opportunities, training and career progression within this highly accredited school this is a great place to develop and work as part of a fun and amazing team.

This post is for an immediate o r September 2018 start and will continue until end of academic year in July 2019.

Psychology graduate position

* Classes of up to 8 pupils with a teacher and additional support staff
* 85% of pupils within school on the autism spectrum
* Supporting pupils with individual learning plans – Maths, English, Science and Technology, Language and Communication
* Supporting students with Individual Behaviour plans – devised with multi-agency and in-house specialists
* Supporting pupils in class, across the school and out of class at break times
* Full time Monday to Friday term time only – 8.30am -4.30pm (non-negotiable)
* Permanent contracts will be released to internal supply staff July 2019

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
