ROLE PURPOSE
To provide comprehensive housing and tenancy management services to develop sustainable communities.

ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESPONSBILITIES
• Provide an effective housing service incorporating all matters of tenancy letting, management and enforcement.
• Deliver an end to end anti-social behaviour service for customers and other stakeholders, building effective partnerships with other bodies and agencies.
• Represent the association in court, litigation, tribunal or other proceedings.
• Ensure properties are re-let promptly and that accompanied viewings, inspections and post tenancy visits are completed to achieve customer satisfaction targets
• Work in partnership with the community investment team and other key services in the development of sustainable communities.
• Undertake estate inspections and risk assessments.
• Lead resident involvement within the area to ensure services are shaped with customer input.
• Ensure tenancy data remains up to date and is used to tailor our services to the needs of our customers.
• Participate in initiatives relating to the housing management patch, promoting to, and representing the views of, residents, supporting the wider agenda and strategies of Orbit.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of community plans to inform decision making and budget setting.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Essential • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal and previous experience of business letter writing.
• Previous experience in a housing or similar environment.
• Previous experience of dealing with difficult situations and dealing with conflict.
• Confident and able to represent the association in court or other environments.
• Proven ability in influencing and negotiation skills.
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Willingness to participate in occasional out of normal office hours events.
• Ability to participate in the out of hours duty rota to provide advice and guidance in emergency situations.
• Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in England and Mathematics.
• Ability to travel to meet the requirements of the role
