Reporting to the Global Mobility Manager, this leading organisation is actively seeking an experienced Senior Global Mobility Consultant to manage the administration of transfers and guidance for local offices on mobility policy, relocation support and compliance.

The Role

As the Global Mobility Senior Consultant, you’ll act as:

• A subject matter expert, support local office Transfer Coordinators in Central Europe, Middle East, Africa and Western Europe / South America with transfer administration. Provide information and guidance on policy and process questions. Work with offices to address country-specific requirements and ensure compliance with local legal and tax regulations
• Ownership of end to end process for transfers. Prepare transfer memo including all applicable terms and conditions. Collect data from local offices as needed, and work with the International Assignment Manager on terms, memo language, financial assistance and relocation services. Liaise with local offices, and global specialists if needed, to finalize terms
• Oversight of authorization of relocation services, preparation of cost estimates and tracking in the Mobility Online system
• Conduct assignment briefing with transferee on key transfer terms and high level transparency re net to net compensation and benefits; addressing transferee questions
• Act as business partner to local office and regional staff, understanding their business developments driving mobility needs, and using the mobility team's expertise and support to help meet those needs. Advise on the financial impacts of contemplated moves, as well as re risk and cross-functional implications
• Understand and apply country specific rules and practices affecting mobility (e.g. re benefits, tax, delivery of salary, bonus and allowances, employment law, immigration and relocation support)
• Monitor transfer activity, identify returns and extensions and ensure applicable terms and conditions are documented in a memo
• Review transferee survey feedback for any interventions needed, and to identify future improvement opportunities
• Awareness of risk involved with cross border movements, including cross-functional areas e.g. tax, immigration, benefits, compensation, accounting; actively promote compliance with internal policies and external legislation
• Provide policy clarifications and guidance on the mobility framework; approve minor exceptions and raise larger issues for escalation; coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders on implications from a legal, comp/ben, tax or accounting perspective
• Liaise with global experts where necessary
• Build effective relationships with local office mobility contacts, regional management and global stakeholders
• Provide virtual training on guidelines and processes to local office staff supporting Mobility
• Support management in tracking, decision support, quality checking and analysis
• Support the Mobility Team members on projects and other tasks as needed

The Person

To be successful in the role of Global Mobility Senior Consultant, you’ll have the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor's degree, with concentration in Finance or HR preferable
• Proficient computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Experience in a relevant HR role essential, preferably in a business services environment and/or in a mobility role. Alternatively generalist HR, Career Development or payroll
• Demonstrated experience in a business advisory role, exercising judgment and mastering written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated international experience, including effective stakeholder engagement across Asia Pacific or across the globe
• Confidence of performing to a high standard in a role requiring good process management skills, attention to detail and ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
• Experience working in a virtual team would be an asset. Interactions within the team, as well as with internal clients and key stakeholders are virtual. Travel will not be required
