HR Business Partner, University Partnerships Europe (UPE) Oxford £55,000 - £65,000 Pro Rata, 12 Month FTC - Full Time Pension Scheme: Available Annual Leave: 36 days, including Bank Holidays The University Partnerships Europe - HR is accountable for partnering with the business to build a solid commercial understanding of their strategies, business imperatives and people requirements. Based on these business insights, and through these partnerships, it delivers HR & Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) programs and initiatives into the businesses. This is a standalone role that is supported by a local UK based shared services team within Navitas. Are you looking for an autonomous HR Business Partner opportunity in a fast moving ASX 200 listed Education Company? Navitas Europe is looking for a UK Oxford based HRBP to join their team on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. Overview of the HR Business Partner Role: This role provides HR Business Partner support for University Partnerships, Europe, for designated client groups. The role will partner the College Directors, other local leaders, and their management teams. The role is supported by the HR Shared Services team who will support the HR Business Partner with first line HR queries and HR administrative support. The role will lead HR generalist activity for 10 UK based colleges and is an exciting opportunity for a HRBP who enjoys autonomy and leading cultural change. The role reports to the UPE HR Director and will be part of a HR team including a HR Shared Service Director and a HR Advisor. Divisional Overview: The HR Division is accountable for the development, functioning and governance of the human resources practices across the Navitas business. The human resources function designs and implements people related policies, procedures and standards as well as delivering operational support to line managers to ensure effective and compliant execution of people practices. Human Resources also includes the Workplace Health & Safety function and a shared services team, providing support across the business. Requirements for the HR Business Partner Technical / Professional Expertise Pragmatic HR Generalist (at least 5 years generalist HR experience in a progressive environment) motivated by a 'virtual and distributed' role who has the ability to operate independently with little day-to-day direction. Strong proficiency in HR disciplines, e.g. workforce/organisation planning, employee/ industrial relations, training, compensation and recruitment, with solid knowledge of HR practices, standards and statutory requirements. Ability to implement and embed programmes and initiatives that are largely determined at the COE/Thought leadership level. Exceptional stakeholder management skills across all levels. Demonstrated ER experience of dispute management, risk mitigation Exceptional customer focus and commitment, balanced with owning and driving the HR generalist agenda. Ability to adjust rapidly to new situations, and to coach others adapt to change. Change management experience and able to guide change programmes. Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills, able to build credible, trusting and respectful relationships with all levels of employees. Strong commercial orientation; understanding of business operations, products and services. Strong problem solving and planning skills. High outcome orientation and drive as well as thorough understanding of business execution needs. Requisite Education / Training (Essential and Preferred): Post-secondary qualifications in HR or business related field (Mandatory). Degree plus post graduate qualifications in related discipline (Preferred). Knowledge and application of WHS systems and processes high desirable. Training in dispute resolution, UK employment law and change management is desirable.
