Role: Payroll Administrator
Part Time (25 hours per week, over 4 days)
Salary: £14,266 (pro rata)
Location: Stoke on Trent, ST4

Shelton Care Ltd are now looking for a Part Time Payroll Administrator to join our head office finance team, on a 25 hour contract. You will be working with a highly acquisitive, growing business based in Stoke on Trent, joining a successful team to ensure the timely and accurate processing and payment of payrolls for approx. 450 employees.

The Role

You will work with a degree of autonomy and be required to use your initiative to ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times. Duties include:

- Generate reports from the Company HR / Timesheet system to monitor staff weekly/monthly working hours and make the relevant deductions for absence
- Calculate and process all contract variations including changes of salary, job title, location, etc
- Reflecting leave in the payroll including maternity and paternity in conjunction with HR
- Process the monthly payroll in line with documented process, including pre-payment reports, balancing and authorisation process
- Monthly RTI reporting to HMRC, and associated reporting to the finance department
- Completing regular tax filings required and administering incoming tax code changes
- Running P11D and P60 processes
- Liaising with finance and accounting department to investigate anomalies and complete reconciliation
- Analyse the payroll process, focusing on care hours delivered versus care hours paid from funders, to ensure payroll function is running effectively
- Data manipulation using Excel to get management and payroll information
- Provide all the necessary information to stakeholders following analysis
- To Implement and monitor systems for communication among the staff team, in line with data protection and confidentiality policies
- Reconciliation of payroll accounts


The Ideal Payroll Administrator:

This is a busy role which is deadline driven and it would suit an individual who is highly organised and has previous payroll experience. You will also have

- Balance sheet reconciliation knowledge
- Extensive payroll knowledge
- Knowledge of SAGE Payroll 50 software
- Knowledge of payroll laws, regulations, processes and policies
- Team-player with ability to build relationships within the organisation
- Proactive approach to problem solving and prioritising own time
- Advanced Excel skills
- Highly analytical
- Proven and demonstrable experience in a payroll environment


In return for you hard work as our Payroll Administrator, you will receive a competitive pro-rata salary of £14,266 per annum.
