Purpose and Context

The Commercial Business Manager is responsible for delivering the commercial plan into the logistics, retail and supply chain business streams. Responsible for maintaining the highest level of margin, maintaining and growing sales opportunities through effective support of business development opportunities.

Accountability and Tasks

Commercial

* Retail
* Account Plans
* Product Price Management
* Service/ Innovation Projects

Business Development

* New markets / business growth
* Tenders

Key Measurables

1 Improve retail margin through like for like growth in sales and GP improvement
2 Project management including tenders, contract extensions and variations
3 Key Accounts – driving margin improvement and delivery of account plans
4 Market business information marketplace analysis and new business opportunities

Skills/Knowledge Required

Essential:

* Project management experience
* Excellent relationship management and influencing skills,
* Strong written and numerical reasoning
* Experience in commercial retail activity in the food “grab n go” market
* 5 years relevant work experience

Desirable:

* Experience in Business development activities preferable
* Proven experience in calculating and growing profit margins
