Senior Digital Designer

An agency who are structured to compliment creative and strategic thinking with flawless channel and shopper activation. They work across experiential, promotional and retail foundations, across physical and digital environments that can be deployed either independently, or as part of an integrated campaign.
They are looking for a Senior Digital Designer to support the Digital Creative Head/Creative Director and Digital Art Director(s) in upholding the quality of output by delivering high standard, creative excellence across projects.
As part of a core in-house digital team of 4 within the wider creative department the Senior Digital Designer will be key to achieving the team’s weekly deliverables and will assist other digital team members and colleagues in the production of core digital marketing assets and solutions.
The ideal Senior will be capable of conceptualising and creating standout designs for a wide range of online assets such as branded promotional microsites and landing pages, store in store ecommerce microsites, marketing email designs/templates, display advertising banners (standard and rich), optimised product content, infographics, and social media ads and branded post content.
The Digital Designer will be a highly talented, creative, versatile and motivated individual with experience of working within a fast-paced environment; have a good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Design and Web) and will be very familiar with digital/online trends and emerging technologies.

• To deliver up and encourage stunning digital concepts and designs of the highest standard to meet client briefs and expectations, ensuring their alignment with client objectives and their consistency with brand values.
• To produce quality work within a given timeframe and budget.
• To ensure that the creative output is leading edge, that a high quality in production is upheld and that a consistently high standard is maintained across the process.
• To collaborate with other Designers/Art Directors (print or digital) to ensure that, where appropriate, integrated briefs are creatively consistent.
• To share knowledge and nurture awareness and learning with colleagues.
• Undertake continuous professional development in the form of online training, seminars, literature and training courses.
• Effectively communicate a creative rationale.
• Contribute to the on-going education, and development of digital across the business.

Personal Specification
• Previous digital design experience working in creative communications agencies or similar, with a great portfolio (B2B and B2C) to demonstrate this across various digital marketing formats including, but not limited to: websites, microsites, emails, apps, online advertising media including social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn etc.
• Preferably educated to degree level in digital design (or equivalent).
• Experience on Retail / FMCG / Tech brands.
• Demonstrable skills and knowledge of which design principles work for different interactive environments, instore, mobile and web etc.
• Excellent UI design layout and understanding of UX factors and how these influence/determine a given design approach.
• Able to explore UX and present ideas through the creation of annotated wireframes, prototypes, user journeys and storyboards in software such as Invision /Axure /Marvel/Balsamiq/Visio/Sketch.
• Demonstrable understanding of designing for e-commerce and m-commerce environments.
• Excellent typography design skills and detailed understanding of associated issues around onscreen reading, usability etc.
• Experience in designing interfaces for iOS and Android platforms.
• Experienced in designing across devices demonstrating a good understanding of digital front-end development technologies (HTML, HTML 5, CSS etc.), browsers and target devices and how these influence and impact design for mobile and responsive solutions.
• Demonstrable examples of producing outstanding creative within the constraints and limitations of existing predefined digital platforms such as CMS.
• Excellent knowledge of all main digital design packages Adobe Creative Suite particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate, InDesign, previous Flash experience (good to have).
• Excellent understanding of social media platforms.
• Previous working knowledge of After Effects and motion graphics, 3D skills, and any front-end coding skills would be a huge plus.
• An understanding or experience of performance and data led on-line marketing, and previous experience of mentoring and/or managing junior colleagues would also be beneficial.

• Creative with the fullest understanding of graphic design, typography and digital standards is as essential as the experience to execute projects of all sizes, and complete them with resourcefulness and dedication.
