Internal Solution Architect (Applications, Infrastructure, Strategy, Stakeholder Management) One of the biggest and best companies in the world is offering a unique opportunity for a technically broad Solution Architect with experience of technology change to own a variety of end-to-end projects. This is a great role with a firm merging their IT in several European countries, meaning all of the business challeneges you’d find in a large external consultancy, but with a vastly improved work/life balance and more opportunity to work from home. Internal Solution Architect (Applications, Infrastructure, Strategy, Stakeholder Management) The standard responsibilities – You will join a newly created team that forms part of a wider internal group taking responsibility for technical change across NW Europe, introducing new tech to one of the biggest names in the world. This will involve exposure to multiple business challenges and working with a range of subject matter experts (including 3rd parties) as well as implementation teams to help address them. The specifics - Whilst this role will need someone with a strong technical skill set, you will need to understand strategy, risk, costings, stakeholder management and other key aspects of consulting/solution architecture. This is also a role that requires somebody to concentrate on the delivery, although a senior position there is no management responsibility, instead you’ll be expected to concentrate on getting things done whilst reporting directly to the head of Solution Architecture. Work/Life Balance – Although some requirements to meet internal stakeholders means you’ll be in the office for meetings here and there, the bulk of your work will be with a virtual team, allowing you autonomy with your diary and to be able to work from for part of the week. Skills/Experience You should have skills and experience in as many of these as possible;Applications - PHP, .Net, JavaScript, open source/Apache, SaaSInfrastructure - particularly public cloud infra.
