Job Position: Engine Build, Test & Development Technician / Engineer

Job Status: Permanent

Qualifications/
Experience: Dedicated and diligent.

You will need to have highly ordered working practices.

A sound understanding of the modern diesel engine, and a good understanding of engine components.

Familiarity of measuring equipment, such as Vernier’s, micrometres, SPS torque wrenches, depth gauges, volume measuring equipment, etc.

Simple computer literacy to a level where you can run Microsoft basic packages i.e. Excel and Word.

Experience in prototype build and strip essential.

Responsibilities: Building prototype engines to an extremely high standard, to an exacting criteria.

Taking detailed measurements of many parameters both pre build and assemblies.

Carry out detailed strips of run engines, taking the same measurements as was taken during the build process, including back to mark torques on all critical bolted joints.

Clean parts and rebuild where required.
