CK Group is recruiting for a Procurement Specialist to join a company in the Pharmaceutical industry at their site based in Hoddesdon on a contract basis. This role will work closely with stakeholders across the entire business and will have responsibility for leading and managing commercial and contractual interaction with external suppliers. The appointee will be committed and highly motivated, with a proven track record in negotiation and relationship management, stakeholder engagement with accountability and ownership of projects and processes from end-to-end. They will work closely with stakeholders across the entire business, and will have responsibility for leading and managing all commercial and contractual interaction with external suppliers. This position is a key link between stakeholders and the Category Leads within Global Procurement. Responsibilities include: -The individual will represent supply sector(s) locally, understanding supply strategies and agreements and describing the benefits to their site. -Manage / support end-to-end procurement processes (RFI, RFQ, RFP, contract drafting & negotiation, supplier & stakeholder management) for the full spectrum of indirect spend categories. -Creating source plans for local categories based on internal requirements, supply market analysis and cost models as well as supporting local analysis for input into "above site" spend categories. -Implement regional, regional and global sourcing initiatives and lead local sourcing teams focused on improvements. -Identify and document all cost reduction and profit plan improvements. -Operate within the boundaries of the Global Procurement Policy. -Work with the business on a day to day basis to support and improve local P2P processes in a highly compliance driven environment. In order to be considered for this role, you will be required to have the following qualifications, skills and experience: -BS in Business/Finance or related field strongly preferred. MBA or degree is desirable. -Previous experience in commercial, business, operations function required or experience in non-procurement role. Category experience desirable. -Excellent procurement knowledge, stakeholder management and negotiation. -Has the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders and provide a good level of customer service. Also able to communicate the necessity for internal control standards and compliance procedures related to sourcing activities. -Must have strong personal selling, interpersonal, communication, and project management skills and the ability to influence others in a team environment. -Has intermediate knowledge of Legal frameworks and contract development. -Proficient in the use of personal computers and business software (in particular Word, Excel and PowerPoint as an Advanced user).
