Science teacher required in September – 12 month contract in the first instance for a secondary school in south Manchester with outstanding behaviour.

Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our partner school in south Manchester, due to a late change within the Science faculty, they have a temporary one year post in the new academic year and welcome applications from Scientists of all experience levels.

This is a large and diverse secondary school in the heart of Manchester, roughly 15 minutes south of the city centre via Princess road (A53013), connecting well to other areas via the metro link and regular busses. Operating as part of a multi-school trust, this is the largest school with well over 1500 pupils on roll including the sixth form. During the last Ofsted inspection, the school received an overall good rating, with outstanding elements and the plan to become outstanding is clear and will be achieved upon the next inspection.

Due to a late and unexpected staffing change, the school have a vacancy for the next academic year and require a dynamic Science teacher who will engage pupils through creative well planned lessons. If you are a newly qualified teacher or a more experienced practitioner looking to work in an excellent school, this position would be well suited for you. Your timetable will consist of all Sciences teaching KS3 and your specialism to a select GCSE cohort. Full support from the faculty will be given and you’ll be invited to attend the excellent CPD available which aims to help all teachers become outstanding practitioners.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
