It is exciting times for us here at our Precast Factory in Tallington, Stamford, as we are embarking on a new venture to supply Tunnel Segments, starting with an order to supply The Thames Tideway Project. What are we looking for?

As our ideal Team Leader, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

- Previous experience in a similar heavy manufacturing environment ideally concrete
- Previous experience and / or qualifications in team leading
- Previous experience and formal training for any specialist and or safety critical tasks being undertaken
- Previous experience of working with mobile plant and equipment is desirable
- A commitment to participating in and contributing to a safe working environment at all times
- A willingness to learn and/or develop your current skill set
- Good communication skills and a desire to lead and work as part of a team
- A flexible approach to work (evening & shift work may be required)
- Basic computer literacy


What will I be responsible for?

As a Team Leader, your main duties may include:

- Ensuring safe and efficient operations by supervising employees and contractors in line with company policy and standards in safety and quality
- Ensuring close liaison and team working between factory operatives
- Assisting the production Supervisor arranging absence, holiday and break etc. cover
- Ensuring that all production form, e.g. manning and quality are correctly completed in a timely manner
- Undertake the general operational activities associated with materials handling, new product manufacture, quality control, storage, loading and site upkeep & housekeeping.
- Where requested undertake additional supervisory, specialist and / or safety critical tasks e.g. stressing, batching, mobile crane & travel lift operations etc.
