"Are you a technically gifted Tier 1 Contractor Section Engineer, Clerk of Works or General Foreman with a keen eye for detail and a passion for the 'Quality' aspect of Civil Engineering schemes? If so this could be the role you have been waiting for"

The Company

This project is based with a leading main contractor with a turn over approaching 3billion. They operate with three distinct business areas Housebuilding, Regeneration, and Construction & Investments (Infrastructure & Construction). Their infrastructure department is made up of several business units including Highways, Rail & Aviation, Water & Waste, Environment, and Power & Security. Having had feedback from candidates placed there previously; " they are a family orientated company, an employee who cares, encourages training and innovation and keen to invest and embrace the latest Engineering technologies ." This project falls within their Highways division, as part of a 300m + scheme, including earthworks, Structures and state of the art technology. This scheme will offer excitement, coupled with longevity and is ideal for a South Midlands local!

The Role

You will form a critical part of the project team and use your strong persona and communication skills to inspect and manage quality activities on a 30 km stretch of busy highway! You will be the guru and the flag bearer of continuous improvement on site, insuring ITP's meet the required standards and all Quality tests meet the correct specification. This is a heavily KPI based industry, with Quality at the forefront of the engineering 'value add', therefore this role will ultimately influence future workload!

No day will be the same with different types of civil engineering works taking place each day in the various civil engineering disciplines, and you will be busy working between these sections compiling records, showing off your photography skills and advising the site teams. The fact you have come from this background yourself will give you both common ground and respect from your colleagues in what is a well lead, close knit and successful project team!

Required Experience

The key experience for this role is industry related not necessarily rank or job title! - if you have worked on new build highways, heavy civils, Earthworks, Bridges (and the like) as a Section Engineer, Clerk of Works, Agent or an experienced Foreman this could be the role for you. You must have experience in Quality as a part of your role (ideally Inspection Test plans) - as this will give you the foundation knowledge to make this role a huge success. Another essential is IT literacy and the ability to record information efficiently utilising various software packages.

The Package

This role is offering a salary range from 37,000- 44,000 dependent on experience and current role, remember this could suit an Agent, Section Engineer, Foreman or Clerk of Works (the salary and amount of required training in the role will be dictated by this) There is also an excellent benefits package including 28 day holiday, car or allowance, Pension and various other flexible benefits. Speaking from experience they are also market leaders in training and development, offering clear succession and progression plans for their team!
