Hours: Full time, Monday-Friday

The Company: Our client, a Chartered Accountants with three offices covering South Cumbria and North Lancashire currently have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounting Technician to join their office based in Bowness-on-Windermere. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities of the Accounting Technician:

• Accounts preparation from incomplete records 
• Dealing with accounting software
• Putting adjustments through
• Completion of VAT returns for clients 

The Candidate: The ideal candidate for the Accounting Technician role will be able to produce accounts from incomplete records or from accounting software and will, ideally, have a working knowledge of Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks. A working knowledge of VAT is also required to prepare VAT returns and to assist in compliance work for HMRC's initiative – Making Tax Digital. 

Essential Candidate Criteria:

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role 

Desirable Candidate Criteria:

• AAT qualified / part qualified
