Shift Pattern - Panama (12 hours, blocks of 2 and 3)

The Company

ATA Recruitment is currently working with a highly successful materials handling business who employ nearly 2000 people in the UK, with a huge �450million turnover they have grown tremendously over the last few years and are currently building a brand new super-depo to add to their already impressive 26 depos in the UK.

Their site in Warwickshire is a brand-new purpose-built facility which was a huge investment for the business and consists of a fully automated state of the art distribution system which includes equipment such as conveyors and sortation machinery.

They currently have a maintenance team of twelve engineers with the potential to grow the team to sixteen as the site continues to expand, this could create excellent prospects for those looking to become Maintenance Team Leaders in the future.

The client has had a lot of previous success in hiring electrically biased engineers from either the Navy, Army or RAF so would like to hear from people from that background looking for a career break in an industrial maintenance role.

The Role

The role of Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer will work on a 12-hour shift pattern consisting a two block of days (2 on 3 off, 3 on 2 off etc) followed by a two-week block of nights on the same pattern. The great benefit with this shift is you only have to change between days and nights once every two weeks.

* Electrical and mechanical maintenance of all forms of materials handling machinery on site including sortation machines and conveyors.
* Diagnosing mechanical/electrical issues.
* Replacing worn out mechanical parts such as bearings and sprockets.
* Electrical work includes fault finding on control panels, changing inverters and drives, monitoring PLC system.
* The role will be a balance of reactive breakdown work and planned maintenance.
* You will be working for a great Engineering Manager with years of engineering experience.
* There are also a lot of experienced maintenance engineers in the team that you can learn from.

The Person

To be successful as a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will need:

* An electrical qualification e.g. Apprenticeship, NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HNC, ONC
* A background in the Army, Navy or RAF in an electrical maintenance type role.
* Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
* Happy to work the shift pattern.
* Good team player with a positive attitude to problem solving.
