Logistics Administrator - Customs Experience Required

Working Hours: 6am to 6pm , Friday to Monday

Wealmoor are now looking to recruit a Logistics Administrator to join our team in Greenford

The Role
To ensure that all imported stock is cleared for UK entry as per Customs & Excise protocols. jointly responsible for providing transport to deliver our finished products to our customers, collecting product from the airports, and transferring product between Greenford & Atherstone on Stour. In addition you will also assist the Imports Manager with vehicle legal compliance, Health & safety compliance, and ensuring all certification is current & compliant with all legal/ agencies requirements.

* Usage of ASM as 3'rd party software and to ensure all shipments is customs cleared on time without any delays or held up at airport.
* Responsible for the liaison between Customs & Excise and DEFRA /FERA.
* Responsible for the liaison between Airlines.
* Ensure that all PEACH applications are complete for all relevant consignments wherever applicable.
* Liaise with Production/Procurement/Foodservice to achieve out-loading schedules.
* Responsible for the O.T.I.F delivery to ALL our customers.
* Liaise with 3rd Party hauliers regarding daily out-loading issues.
* Maintain and distribute logs for Customer delivery performance.
* Liaise and be responsible for Driver booking, schedules/Rosters, monitoring etc (including Agency drivers) & dealing with any problems that may arise.
* Ensure all Transport & activities fully conform to all H&S regulations.
* Responsible for ensuring that all transport and transfer documentation (temp records, licenses, tachographs, drivers folders, invoices etc) and equipment such as mobile phones, keys etc is up to date and accurate.
* Responsible for all Transport-related queries sent to Transport Office.
* Communicate with customers should the need arise.
* Ad-hoc Transport & Imports administration.
* Ensure all procedures were followed with Port Health while importing High Risk products as per national and international law.
* Ensure all Compliance procedures were followed for each shipment as per HMRC regulations imported from non EU countries.
* Inputting all data into electronic data capture systems including prices as per the invoices received from the shipper.

The Candidate
The ideal candidate for the Logistics Administrator will have the following skills and attributes:

* Educated to QCF level 4 in an academic discipline
* Relevant experience working in a Transport/Imports department, undertaking customs clearances (ASM).
* Experience of Transport/Warehouse management.
* Fluent English - Both written & verbal.
* Additional languages to a verbal standard would be beneficial
* Must live within a 40 minute commuting distance from the Greenford manufacturing facility.
* Possess good experience of Health & Safety within a manufacturing environment, ensuring all employees are operating within and understand the importance of
