Teaching Personnel are currently working on behalf of an Alternative Provision in the East Midlands area who are looking for a MATHS LEAD Teaching Assistant.

One aspect of the role will be to transport students from their home to learning hubs, therefore you must be prepared to add Business Insurance onto you car insurance.

The Maths Lead role is a part time role, for 3 days a week – however there is other roles within the provision if you are looking for a full time role.

Function of the role:

“To support and maintain a high level of learner engagement through collaborative preparation and delivery of an innovative, creative and flexible curriculum. To use a collaborative and multi-agency holistic approach to delivering an education provision which includes attention to health and safety awareness, risk management and the safeguarding of young people. To support the School Leadership Team in moving the school forward by playing an active role in at least one of the school development strands.”

The ideal person will:

* Three years experience of working with children and young people or vulnerable adults within an education, health or social care setting
* A Maths Qualification
* Experience Planning and Delivering Work
* To hold a minimum Level 3 qualification in an education, health or social care setting (e.g. relevant NVQ, PTLLs, A levels)
* To hold a recognised Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2 award/certificate in support work in schools/teaching and learning in schools) or hold another relevant qualification with evidence of assessed practice
* Must hold a UK Driving Licence and have access to a road-worthy vehicle
* Be driven to provide positive outcomes to children, young people and vulnerable adults
