Our client is seeking an Accounts Assistants to join the Finance team at their head office in Llantrisant. Our client is one of the fastest growing companies in the Sports Nutrition Industry. They have grown rapidly over the last number of years, achieving Fast Growth 50 status for the last 2 years and last year achieved the Fastest Growing Business to Business in Service 2018. They are a business distributing sports nutrition products and operating sports nutrition vending machines across the UK, in a niche sector. The business was started in April 2012 by the MD and has attracted significant equity and debt finance to fund its growth.

The Accounts Assistants will work with the Senior Management Accountant and Financial Controller and will be exposed to all aspects of the business liaising with staff at all levels within the Company from Vending Machine Operators to Managing Director. As part of a small Finance team they will be involved in a wide range of commercial and finance activities and have the access to influence and aid in improving processes and procedures in a fast growing company. This offers a chance for someone interested in developing their skills and progressing their career with all round business exposure.

Key Responsibilities Shared between Assistants

- Purchaser Ledger :
- coding and posting all supplier invoices to ledger
- checking stock delivery notes and closing orders
- preparing supplier payment runs
- posting of all bank payments to ledger
- Supplier Statement Reconciliations
- Sales ledger:
- raising of Wholesale Distribution orders for 400+ sites (growing substantially)
- matching delivery notes to orders
- raising sales invoices
- Posting of staff expense claims to ledger, bank payment and filing thereof
- Full Bank Reconciliation (approx. 500 transactions per month)
- Processing Customer Commission invoices and and handling related queries
- Some Balance Sheet Reconciliations (PAYE/NI/ Creditors etc)
- Assistance with month end journal preparation
- Administering online Stationery orders and liaising with supplier
- Monitoring of vehicle tracker data, analysis and distribution of reports
- Credit Control follow up of Wholesale Distribution clients
- Processing of Vehicle Penalty Charge Notices
- Monthly DVLA check of driving licence endorsements/points (circa 26 drivers)
- Administering online accounts for vehicle tolls, congestion charges, fuel cards etc
- Ad hoc data analysis using pivot tables and extensive excel usage
- Assist in collection of data for KPI setting and reporting

Qualifications & experience

- Part/Fully Qualified AAT
- Previous experience in similar role using accounting software packages
- Excellent computer skills, particularly excel (intermediate + level)

- Vendman SQL
- Trello
- Nayax management software (telemetry in 800+ vending machines)
- Microsoft office (email, word, excel, powerpoint, onedrive, sharepoint etc)

- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am to
